Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie, born November 24 1981, is an American political commentator. She was previously a political candidate, and also an anchor on television at MSNBC and a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball have announced that they will leave the show in May 2021 and begin Breaking Points, a new independent venture that will be hosted by Krystal as well as Saagar. Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. Her guest appearances on the show include Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball is currently married to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball is able to attribute her new fascination with politics to her experience after becoming an expectant mother in the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election while working in Jordan. She was able to observe the impact that it had on the citizens of her country and developed an appreciation of the global impact of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee in Virginia's 1st Congressional District for Congress in 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, who is the incumbent Republican. She hosted The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 to July 2015. She launched the People's House Project in May 2017 to help Democratic causes.
