Kyra Minturn

KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended on August 13, 2012, following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish and has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
